Qmagnet placements
Qmagnet Prescription for Menstrual/Abdominal Pain:
Place one Qmagnet device in the anterior pelvic rim, centrally and superior to the pubic symphysis. Place two additional devices slightly superior to the first and medial to the anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS) joint line. This placement varies individually depending on the pain location. For lower abdominal pain, two additional devices may be placed over the (L) and (R) posterior superior iliac spine (PSIS). Finally, if the pain is from surgery and abdominal scarring, usually the devices are placed over the affected areas.
Physiologically: The steep field gradient generated by the Quadrapolar magnetic array closes leaking ion gates at the nerve cell membrane and returns abnormally firing nerves to a resting state.
Therefore the centre of the Qmagnet needs to be placed over the irritated nerve or innervated structure to maximize its physiological and clinical effects.
