Qmagnet placements

Qmagnet Prescription for lowerback pain:

The first device is placed on the S2 spinous process of the sacrum. The second and third devices are placed over the (L) and (R) posterior superior iliac spines (PSIS’s) respectively. The fourth device is placed in the L4/5 intervertebral disc space. The fifth device is placed in the L2/3 intervertebral disc space. Also (not shown) placement of T12/L1 is effective in thoracolumbar conditions.

Physiologically: Magnetic field gradient blocks the firing of action potentials in dorsal root ganglion neurons to alleviate pain. The steep field gradient generated by the Quadrapolar magnetic array closes leaking ion gates at the nerve cell membrane and returns abnormally firing nerves to a resting state.

Therefore the centre of the Qmagnet needs to be placed over the irritated nerve or innervated structure to maximize its physiological and clinical effects.

If relief is not found from the low back array, try the following placement:

The first and second devices are placed over (L) and (R) posterior superior iliac spines (PSIS’s). The third device is placed at the top of the crevice of the buttocks. The fourth device is placed over a “bridge” of tape over the sacral apex / coccyx. Secure the Qmagnet in place with an added piece of tape over the top of the device.
