Qmagnet placements
Qmagnet Prescription for neck and shoulder pain:
Neck and shoulder pain can be treated with Qmagnet devices with a three or four magnet placement.
Three Qmagnet Placements: The first and second devices are placed approximately 40mm (1.5 inches) bilaterally to the C6/7 intervertebral disc space. The third device is placed on the C4 spinous process.
Physiologically: The steep field gradient generated by the Quadrapolar magnetic array closes leaking ion gates at the nerve cell membrane and returns abnormally firing nerves to a resting state. The magnetic field gradient blocks the firing of action potentials in dorsal root ganglion neurons to alleviate pain. Therefore the centre of the Qmagnet needs to be placed over the irritated nerve or innervated structure to maximize its physiological and clinical effects.
Four Qmagnet Placements: The first and second devices are placed approximately 40mm (1.5 inches) bilaterally to the C6/7 intervertebral disc space. Overlying the muscle belly of upper trapezius targeting a common upper trapezius trigger point and the dorsal root ganglion (DRG). The third device is placed at the C4/5 intervertebral disc space. The fourth placement is placed at the C7/T1 intervertebral disc space.
