Qmagnet placements

Qmagnet Prescription for upper back pain:

For spinal pain, the device is placed over the area of pain and tenderness. If the pain is localized the device should be placed over the site of pathology. Preferably place between bony prominences. The first and second devices are placed approximately 40mm (1.5 inches) bilaterally to the C6/7 intervertebral disc space in the upper trapezius muscle belly. The third device is placed in the C4/5 intervertebral disc space. The fourth to seventh placements are in the C7/T1; T4/5; T8/9; T10/11: T12/L1 (not shown) intervertebral disc spaces respectively.

Physiologically: Magnetic field gradient blocks the firing of action potentials in dorsal root ganglion neurons to alleviate pain. The steep field gradient generated by the Quadrapolar magnetic array closes leaking ion gates at the nerve cell membrane and returns abnormally firing nerves to a resting state. Therefore the centre of the Qmagnet needs to be placed over the irritated nerve or innervated structure to maximize its physiological and clinical effects.
