Qmagnet Prescription for wrist pain:
Placement is the ventral wrist surface overlying the flexor retinaculum/carpal tunnel. If placed correctly, the Qmagnet will limit wrist flexion.
Physiologically: The steep field gradient generated by the Quadrapolar magnetic array closes leaking ion gates at the nerve cell membrane and returns abnormally firing nerves to a resting state. Therefore the centre of the Qmagnet needs to be placed over the irritated peripheral nerve or innervated structure to maximize its physiological and clinical effects.
